UN General Assembly Resolution (draft)
Convinced that the present crisis facing humanity is essentially due to
the lack of ethics which is prevailing universally, dangerously close
to a point of no return,
Recognizing the necessity to mobilize human wisdom on the widest
possible scale to avert the ultimate catastrophe whose possibility can
no longer be totally excluded,
Being aware that the whole world awaits a concrete step toward President Obama's vision of ﾒa World without Nuclear Weaponsﾓ,
Convinced of the necessity, as its prerequisite, to transform the
present paternal civilization of power based on competition and
confrontation into a maternal civilization of harmony based on
compassion and solidarity,
Resolves to hold a UN Ethics Summit during the present session in order
to promote and foster awareness of the importance of a universally
acknowledged definition of planetary ethics-of responsibility for all
coming generations and respect for the life system of our unique
planet-that will enable us to become ﾒEarth compatibleﾓ before it is
too late.
Proclaims the creation of an International Day of Global Ethics, to be
celebrated each year on April 5, the date of President Obama's Prague
Speech.

人類が直面する現在の危機は環境意識と地球倫理の欠如が、取り返しがつかくなりそうなほど世界中に蔓延していることが 真因であることを確信し、
もはやその可能性を排除しきれなくなった究極の破局を未然に防ぐために最大限広範囲の地球規模で人類の叡智を動員する必要があることを認識し、
全世界がオバマ米大統領の「核兵器のない世界」のヴィジョンに向けての具体的一歩が踏み出されることを期待していることに鑑み、
このヴィジョン実現には現在の競争と対立に立脚した力の父性文明を思いやりと連帯に立脚した母性文明に転換することがその前提として必要であることを確信し、
国際連合総会は
全ての未来の世代に対する責任および掛け替えのない地球のライフシステムの遵守を柱とする地球倫理の重要性についての認識を促進し、人類と地球の共生を今のうちに可能とするために、
現会期中に倫理サミットを開催することを決定し、
オバマ米大統領のプラハ演説が行われた４月５日に毎年記念される
地球倫理国際日の創設を宣言する。
