Dear President Thomas Bach,


Please allow me to send you an important message sent to me from Dr. Alex Rosen, IPPNW. It asserts that the Japanese government and the Japanese nuclear industry  want to use the Olympic Games to repress the memory of the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

The message informs us of the process of recruiting prominent Olympic athletes to give the campaign their faces and voices.

The attached letter in which the basic position of the IPPNW is stated has already been sent to many famous sportsmen and sportswomen.

On February 27th, 2021, the German section of the IPPNW is organizing an international symposium entitled "10 years living with Fukushima" at the Berlin Urania and online.

In Japan, the Covid-19 crisis is seriously worsening, renewing the records.
The Japanese Self-Defense Force has started sending nurses at the request of local governments to avoid the collapse of the medical system.

Please allow me to renew the strong request to make the decision of cancellation of the Tokyo Olympic Games in order for Japan to make maximum  efforts to cope with the Covid-19 crisis.
