Dear President Thomas Bach,
Encouraged by conscientious civil society, I have long been pleading
for a maternal civilization based on ethics and solidarity. It should
replace the current paternal civilization based on power and domination.
Charlie Chaplin, in his film “ The Dictator”, preaches as follows;
We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need
humanity; More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.
The Covid-19 reminds us of the lessen of the Fukushima nuclear accident; the shift of the top priority from economy to life.
Women are already proving their powerful qualifications in tackling the new coronavirus crisis.
Japan is criticized for not carrying out enough PCR tests. The Tokyo
Olympic Games 2020, postponed for a year, is considered not irrelevant
to this.
Japanese civil society firmly believes it will be cancelled because it
is too immoral and irresponsible to continue ignoring radioactive
dangers resulting from the Fukushima nuclear accident.
Japan is still placed under “The Nuclear Emmergency Declaration” !
The Covid-19 has started drastically reforming the world.
It will hopefully be in line with the law of the history that does not allow immorality to last indefinitely.
It is waking up the Japanese.
A new change seems to be around the corner.
I wish to send to you best wishes for your good health.
With my warmest and highest regards,
Mitsuhei Murata
Former Japanese Ambassador to Switzerland
